  • As of 2023, women represent only 35% of artists, 19.5% of songwriters, and 6.5% of producers.

  • Fewer than 1% of popular songs are written only by women. Fewer than .3% of songs have a single woman writer.

  • Only 24% of Grammy nominees from 2013 to 2023 have been women.

  • Women and non-binary people only account for 1.6% of the key technical roles within the Top 50 songs on the RIAA Diamond certification list.
